Love.
What is love and why do we seek it?
Coming of age we are led to believe that we will find love, love will find us. It will find us when we expect it to, we expect it to find us when the time is right. Like in the movies, when the teenager hits puberty and discovers the desire for a partner; the heavens open and the desired partner arrives in a golden carriage. This is how it will all play out; because I’ve seen it in a movie many times so it must be true?
The fairytale you are led to believe will happen for us all, may not shine its light the way you want it to. It may not always be bright, it may not always comfort your heart and make it feel warm and fuzzy. The search for love may make you feel dull, it may make your heart feel heavy and empty; not worthy of another human connection.
If you deserve to be loved; if you have love within you that should be shared. You will meet someone that makes you feel like it was all meant to be. You will meet someone that makes you feel worthy of being happy and alive; someone that makes you want to share your happiest moments with them even before you have lived them. Your happiness comes before my happiness. Your smile comes before my smile. Your happiness makes me happy; I smile when you smile.
When that person comes along and every time you hold hands you feel like your atoms connect; hold that hand tight and never let it go.
After your last breath and you turn back into stardust once more, a consciousness unlike this one; your atoms will find each other again and feel this love in another lifetime and forever more.
